A step beyond exercise mats

Our range of exercise mats can not only be used in a home or professional gym setting.

This week’s blog reports creative ideas on how gym mats can be put to use.

Use gym mats in the kitchen to:
- Provide a cushioned surface to stand on. Standing by a sink or stove for hours on hard tile or wood hurts the feet!
- Protect tile from being cracked by heavy falling items such as pots or pans. If you have tile floors a gym mat can also lessen the chance of ceramic cups or bowls breaking when dropped since the gym mats have a surface with a bit of give.
- Around bar stools, pushing back barstools can scratch wood floors easily. A gym mat protects the floor around bar stools.

Use gym mats in the office to:
- Protect your office floor from tables and chairs being dragged across a surface.
- Make your desk chairs roll more easily. Desk chairs do not roll well on carpet, and can damage hardwood floors with the constant rolling back and forth across the surface. Use a gym mat to make a desk chair roll more easily across carpet or to protect your wood floors.

In the living room:
- Use a gym mat to protect your living room floor from exercise equipment, piano benches, and couches that get moved.
- Designate a kid’s play area with gym mats – especially in a living room with hard floors, the gym mats provide a protective surface against kids falling. Gym mats also protect the floor from kid’s play activities – markers and crayons, spilled paint, etc, and are easier to clean than carpet.
